Sox vs Seattle 3/27

Featured Replies

I have my doubts that Contrears is going to be able to help the Sox this year. One can only hope though that he develops out of ST. Politte throws hard but straight and gets knocked around too easily.

Good call to stay out of Double Play

I probably didn't call that clearly enough. The steal and the ground out came on 2 separate pitches. Couple of changes for the Sox defensively in the bottom of the 6th. Burke catching. Valdez in. I think at second. I think more changes as well. Rickie Guttierez takes a lead-off walk from Politte. Ibanez up.

Ibanez strikes out. Dan Wilson up.

I am sorry I just misunderstood that's my fault

So much for improved pitching...so far some of these guys look like s***...given its only ST but you'd have to think this late in ST they would be pitching a bit better now...

Wilson fights off several Politte 2 strike pitches, then walks. 1st and 2nd, 1 out. Bloomquist up.

Is Politte always pitching in trouble with runners on? Jeez...

Bloomquist also fights off several 2 strike pitches, then drives one hard to center that is caught. Runner on 2nd advances to third. 1st and 3rd. 2 out.

Santiago flares one down the right field line, that galnces off the glove of a diving Dye. 2 runs score, Santiago ends up at third. I believe that makes it 12-8. Ozzie out to the mound. Politte hopefully considereing a career change.

Politte is Koch Part 2.

So he gave 4 runs in his brief outing

Politte nor Contreras have shown the consistent ability to get ahead of hitters. Seems like they're always working behind in the count. That drives managers crazy ... not to mention fans.

Holy Mackeral. Tetsu Yofu pitching to Ichiro. At least these pitches won't be straight! Ground ball hits the first base bag. Konerko can't find the handle with his bare hand. Idhiro safe. Runner scores from third. 13-8. Greg Dobbs hitting in Randy Winn's place.

I was wondering about Tetsu. And no he doesn't throw many straight pitches

The 'Natural' lines out to one of the infielders. Don't know who - my wife was blessedly interrupting me with a cold one. 7th inning coming up. 13-8.

Nate Bland is the new Mariner pitcher. Konerko up. Lots of changes to the Mariner lineup. Battery-mate, for one, is Brian Moon.

Konerko grounds one down the line and is thrown out by new 3rd sacker, Benji Gill. One out. Dye up.

Dye walks. 1 out, 1 on. Borchard up.

Hopefully we can stop them from putting another crooked number on the board

I have 13 runs on 11 hits for the M's
