When asked about the team's random steroids testing weekend, Buehrle said he didn't know anything about it. He added that he was called recently by a major league representative to see how the Sox's vote went on their opinion of the steroids issue. Buehrle didn't even know he was supposed to conduct a vote. Buehrle has admitted he wants to give up his voluntary player rep role, possibly to assistant player rep Paul Konerko, so he has done all he can to get the job taken away. He has said he does not want the role next season when issues are sure to arise involving the soon-to-expire collective bargaining agreement. When Konerko was told he might have to pick up some of the slack for Buehrle, the veteran laughed and called Buehrle the worst player rep he has ever seen. He said Mark wants to leave the sox because he is mad at the field dimensions. He claims he read that in the suntimes. I spend at least an hour of my day everyday that has something to do with the sox and never heard about this . Did I miss this? I know how much of a big deal our fan base was making when mark said he would like to be a cardinal one day. So this would be a lot bigger than that.
