Juan "He" Gone

In a stunning development, Juan Gonzalez couldn't even make it to Opening Day before landing on the DL. The Indians placed the right fielder on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday because of his strained right hamstring and recalled Grady Sizemore to take his place on the roster. "The silver lining is we'll get to see Grady play on this club and get Juan back healthy and strong," Indians general manager Mark Shapiro told the Associated Press. "At this point we've committed to him, so if he's healthy and the hamstring is fine, he's coming back."

Sizemore was understandably ticked off at being sent down in the first place. Now he'll have a chance to prove the Tribe can't do without him. We assume Sizemore went unpicked in a lot of leagues after Gonzalez was handed the right field job; if he's available in your league, he makes a solid pickup. For Juan Gone, this is his 11th trip to the DL in 14 seasons, and he has been limited to just over one season's worth of games in the last three years. Fantasy owners should know not to trust him any further than they can throw him.

Good luck with that one.

This will likely be Juan-Gone's shortest stint on a ball club ever. I bet they cut him before the All-Star break. The guy is as fragile as a China plate.
