Our offense hasn't done that great of a job and our pitching has been pretty good. As long as our pitching can keep us in close games we are in it til the end. One thing I keep hearing thats really true "good teams win close games" and we've been doing that. I hope this is the year of a new resurgence.

The pythagaron is skewed by all the 14-3 games. I've long held a theory that if you had a baseball team where everybody just did their job, no heroics or bonehead plays, you'd be tough to beat. Today there were some heroics and when you add them to good basic baseball you win.

That's what the sox seem to be building for, esp with the defense and pitching. When the hitting picks up, that's where the wins will come from.
