I have started workin out regularly (weights and running) and my goal is to simply build muscle mass for appearance. I just want to look buff and have defined and visible muscles. I dont necessarily want to be able to bench 400 pounds or anything like that, just want to have lean, well defined, muscles, simply for appearance. What would you guys who workout recommend i do with my workout regiment, and what supplements i.e. creatine, whey protein if any would help me acheive this goal?

Steroids?..:P

Weights, cardio and good eating. Kines majors at UIUC would probably be more than willing to help you out figuring that s*** out especially since they really know what they are doing.
