April 16, 200322 yr Wednesday, April 16 @ 7:05 p.m. CT Official Game Thread Hernandez 3-0, 0.45 @ Garland 0-1, 9.00 Hopefully the Sox can come back from the crap they played last night. Valentin's overaggressiveness was good. Jimenez should have caught that ball. He saw it, but he missed it. Billy Koch should have closed it out. Problem was it was very windy and when you throw 100 mph fastballs to a man who has homerun power things go wrong. Then things go down from there. Hopefully the crappiness of that game will not continue with the struggling Jon Garland taking the hill. I may be on for play-by-play early tonight...
April 16, 200322 yr This is reminding me too much of 2001 when the Twins had sucked the previous year and then we couldn't beat them
April 16, 200322 yr Just getting back to the top of the page so no one can take this preview away from me...
April 16, 200322 yr Problem was it was very windy and when you throw 100 mph fastballs to a man who has homerun power things go wrong. 100 MPH fastballs? Maybe if Botch was throwing 100 MPH fastballs Sweeney wouldn't have hit the living s*** out of the ball Botch so nicely served up for him last night.

He did throw nearly 100 mph. I remember it myself.
April 16, 200322 yr Botch hasn't touched 100 this year, what science are you smokin? Thanks Mathew. Hope you don't mind my use of your moniker "Botch"

April 16, 200322 yr Alright. Therefore, lets stop with Koch discussion and focus on tonights starter, Jon Garland.
April 16, 200322 yr Alright. Therefore, lets stop with Koch discussion and focus on tonights starter, Jon Garland. Why? He's the last person I want to see out there when we absolutely need a win..... especially after last nights debacle. However, if he pitches a masterpiece tonight (ala Boston in Beantown from 2002), I'll gladly eat crow.
April 16, 200322 yr Not happening tonight Killa. Sox are lacking a long relief pitcher...but maybe Glover can fill that hole tonight.
April 16, 200322 yr Ya, if you guys want it, then you can have it. Gonna update the link in the next day or so for the new chatroom.

Sweeney could still hit a 100 mph fastball out of the park, no doubt

I'd like to know how fast Koch was actually throwing...i don't know how reliable the mph on the tv is, because i can tell it's been off before
April 16, 200322 yr They just need a win. Also, I'll be needing that play by play too. The game's on FSN...You don't get that?
