Hopefully the Sox can come back from the crap they played last night. Valentin's overaggressiveness was good. Jimenez should have caught that ball. He saw it, but he missed it. Billy Koch should have closed it out. Problem was it was very windy and when you throw 100 mph fastballs to a man who has homerun power things go wrong. Then things go down from there.

Hopefully the crappiness of that game will not continue with the struggling Jon Garland taking the hill.

I may be on for play-by-play early tonight...

This is reminding me too much of 2001 when the Twins had sucked the previous year and then we couldn't beat them

I can play by play until at least 8.00...if I am allotted too...

Just getting back to the top of the page so no one can take this preview away from me...

Thanks for the pbp offer I'll need it.

100 MPH fastballs? Maybe if Botch was throwing 100 MPH fastballs Sweeney wouldn't have hit the living s*** out of the ball Botch so nicely served up for him last night.

Science agrees with me Cub Killa. He did throw nearly 100 mph. I remember it myself.

Yes anonther Billy Botch thread.

Botch hasn't touched 100 this year, what science are you smokin?

Thanks Mathew. Hope you don't mind my use of your moniker "Botch" :headbang

Check the contrast on your TV..... it's out of focus. I think the highest Botch hit last night was 89 MPH.

Alright. Therefore, lets stop with Koch discussion and focus on tonights starter, Jon Garland.

Why? He's the last person I want to see out there when we absolutely need a win..... especially after last nights debacle. However, if he pitches a masterpiece tonight (ala Boston in Beantown from 2002), I'll gladly eat crow.

This is a MUST win...C'mon Sox, don't go down to the Royals AGAIN!!!

Not happening tonight Killa. Sox are lacking a long relief pitcher...but maybe Glover can fill that hole tonight.

And now, your 2003 Chicago White Sox...

They just need a win.

Also, I'll be needing that play by play too.

Will there be a chatroom for tonights game? I think those work very well.

is play by play being done here?

Ya, if you guys want it, then you can have it. Gonna update the link in the next day or so for the new chatroom.

Next day or so, I want it for tonights big ballgame.

Sweeney could still hit a 100 mph fastball out of the park, no doubt

Not saying he couldn't..... just saying that getting the bat around on the ball to pull at 100 MPH would be harder for anybody..... even Sweeney.

I'd like to know how fast Koch was actually throwing...i don't know how reliable the mph on the tv is, because i can tell it's been off before

The game's on FSN...You don't get that?
