I HATE the Cubs, but I don't diss them just because they're the Cubs. I'll give them props when appropriate. But my favorite days are when the Sox win and the Cubs lose.

 

I agree with this statement. If we insult them first it makes us look bad.

The Cubs r actually lookin pretty good so far. To bad they won't get to see this PATHEITC Reds pitching staff all year...

I wish we had some of their players and more importantly that coaching staff.

I will not be surprised in a few years when Frank Thomas retires and writes a book about Jerry Manuel smoking weed in the clubhouse. The guy is a poster-child for stoners and I hate his "style".

The Cubs are a .500 team. Wood is decent, Prior is a helluva pitcher, Clement is wild but decent, Zambrano will probably have a mediocre season, and Estes will be bad. Their bullpen will be decent, but their offense is god-awful....aside from SamME, they have very little.

 

They may be a good team in a few years....but now, they are mediocre.

Alou is looking like the guy they thought they were getting, Grudzielanek is doing very well at the leadoff spot, and Choi has a lot of upside.

 

But they are a .500 team, and they'll wilt when they play some better teams.

Cubs played Pitt w/o Giles, Cinn w/o Griffey and Larkin it will catch up to them bastards :fyou :finger Cubs
