April 29, 200520 yr Currently bagwell is sucking off, hes on my bench, hell neverb e used, ive tried him in trades, nothing is working for him. Hes just usuing a roster space. B. Inge - I have piazza now, he appears to be semi-injured / not doing well so Inge cud be used for the time being. L. Matos (baltimore) -I could use him on some weeks were i need stolen bases hes hott atm. J Foster (ATL- RP) - Possible Closer? A. Burgeous (KC - RP) - Possible Closer? Sidney ponson (baltimore SP) - 3 wins, tho 7 era What do you think is my best bet? im going for one of the op 3 atm... Btw i post in here, cas my last 3 post in fantasy lounge havent been responded to and seems some people are usuing this as a help room too. Edited April 29, 200520 yr by iWiN4PreP
April 29, 200520 yr I'd ride it out with Bags. That's what I'm doing. He was struggling a lot last eyar but came on and ut up respectable power numbers. I feel he'll do the same as it gets warmer and Berkman returns to provide protection.
April 29, 200520 yr I would also keep Bagwell. I don't think Kolb is going to lose his job anytime soon after reading this article... "Notes: Kolb still searching Closer convinced he's close to finding his 2004 All-Star form" http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/n...t=.jsp&c_id=atl Edited April 29, 200520 yr by Jabroni
April 29, 200520 yr Author Thing is, i have 5 good outfielders (only need 3+1 util) and i have Jim Thome as my 1b.
April 29, 200520 yr I'd go Reitsma over Foster. Even if he doesn't get the job he gets wins and a few saves. How about Ryan Wagner as an option. He could overtake Graves for the closers job at some point and his era is below one with a ton of K's. His slider is better than Brad Lidge's.
April 29, 200520 yr Author Ryan Wagner is a possibility. but what does any1 think of inge and matos? no gos?
April 29, 200520 yr I have Inge. You have to love the position elgibility. He saves you fgrom ever scouring the wire for a catcher if yours gets hurt.
April 29, 200520 yr Author right now its bewteen Inge Wagner Possibility : Matos Im really thinking about inge, but then of course the days i put inge in, piazza well hit 2 homers. lol Question now : Is inge a safe bet?
April 29, 200520 yr Inge was garbage before last year but he's a fairly safe bet. He hit 280 over a full year so he should still hit decent the rest of the way and he's young enough to expect a better eyar htis year than last. He's probably going to put up numbers very similar to Jack Wilson's last year
April 29, 200520 yr Author hmm toughy this one is... I dont like piazza much as my catcher, so im really thinking about inge. but theres still some nice valuable pitchers out there so im gonna have to think about this one. any extra help is appreciated
April 29, 200520 yr tell you the truth id take matos, hes hitting good he steals and he has some power, if i had a second choice id go with inge, but i would suggest jason phillips for a backup to piazza
April 30, 200520 yr I left Baggs in my starting lineup. But I am very close to benching him, not dropping him though.
April 30, 200520 yr Author at the moment, meaning im prolly gonna be dropping matos once he cools off
April 30, 200520 yr You have no one worse than Bagwell on your roster to drop? I have him on my bench because I do believe the Astros offense will heat up when Berkman returns.
