April 29, 200520 yr The article is lengthy so I'm not gonna quote it: Welcome to Ozzie Balll Hope you enjoy because this is sad, we lose two straight games and were ridiculed.
April 29, 200520 yr Wow, Garland is on the front page of epsn.com. Below him is an article written by Neyer about why we won't win the AL Central.
April 29, 200520 yr I did think this part was hillarious though: Now, if I can answer my own question about managers dueling with light sabers – which I've given a lot of thought to over the years – I'll take Buck Showalter and Ozzie Guillen. Remember their tiff last year, which began when Buck questioned Ozzie's knowledge of the rule book? Loved that. Ozzie finished Buck off with this: "When the best manager in the history of baseball talks about you, that means you're on somebody's mind. And when you're beating the crap out of the best manager in baseball, and we beat the [expletive] out of them, it makes me feel a lot better." Clearly, Buck is the Sith in this battle, right? And Ozzie is the brash not-quite-ready-for-a-council-seat Jedi. And Ozzie leaves Buck limbless, mangled and defeated. But Buck returns years later to manage the Yankees. Or something.
April 29, 200520 yr QUOTE(OfficerKarkovice @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) I did think this part was hillarious though: That is funny s***.
April 29, 200520 yr Don't sweat the ridicule. that's kind of page 2 and Neel's thing. Don't take it to heart
April 29, 200520 yr QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) Wow, Garland is on the front page of epsn.com. Below him is an article written by Neyer about why we won't win the AL Central. Neyer confuses me. Didn't he write an article in like February that bashed the sox and then last month picked them to win the division. Now he writes an article about why they won't win it. I'm confused.
April 29, 200520 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) Neyer confuses me. Didn't he write an article in like February that bashed the sox and then last month picked them to win the division. Now he writes an article about why they won't win it. I'm confused. He's just making sure that no matter what happens, he will be able to point to at least one of his articles and say, "I was right".
April 29, 200520 yr it's fashionable to rip the Sox. I don't get it. But it seems to be the way it is.
