Ozuna and Hawk injury updates

From the infirmary: Utility infielder Pablo Ozuna was available to Guillen if needed on Thursday afternoon, although he still was not 100 percent after being hit in the left wrist by a Keiichi Yabu pitch last Tuesday in Oakland. Ozuna was scratched from the next day's starting lineup and hasn't played since.

Guillen said that there was no thought of post-dating Ozuna for a trip to the disabled list.

"Right now, we don't need him," Guillen said of Ozuna. "That's the reason we brought in (Pedro) Lopez. I don't think (Ozuna) is too far away."

Ken "Hawk" Harrelson also made an appearance at U.S. Cellular Field on Thursday, one day after undergoing surgery to repair a detached retina in his right eye. The team's television voice will not travel to Toronto or St. Petersburg, in order to protect a gas bubble that was placed in the eye to correct the damage.

Wearing a patch over his right eye, Harrelson was in great spirits and reported no pain.

It's getting to the point where we might as well as put him on the DL if it's going to take him to much longer.

Why? The article even says that Ozuna was available to play but Ozzie decided to let him get 100% healthy first. It's nice that our players can get healthy during a 5-game winning streak.

Of course there is no thought of that. Ozuna has been used as a pinch runner twice since he got hurt. Therefore, he cannot be post-dated.

That's exactly what I was thinking. That is getting so annoying, if you are going to get paid to report on a team, you should know what is going on with them. :bang
