BJ Armstrong leaves the Bulls

B.J. says bye

As reported last week, B.J. Armstrong has left the organization to pursue other opportunities.

In a statement officially announcing the move, Paxson said Armstrong "will always be a Bull."

Armstrong's future plans are unclear. He hasn't returned calls seeking comment.

"I love the people who live in this city and the passion they have for their teams and that is something I will never forget for the rest of my life," Armstrong said in the statement.

"This is a first-class organization and I want to thank [club Chairman] Jerry Reinsdorf and John Paxson for the opportunity to be a part of the rebuilding process in Chicago."

Armstrong spent five seasons in the front office and seven of his 11 seasons as a player with the Bulls.

Probably a good career move, Paxson is young and doing a great job, no real way for B.J. to move up. Good luck B.J.... I agree, you will always be a Bull

BJ was my favorite player on the Bulls. He will also always be an Iowa Hawkeye. Come back and be coach for the Hawks.....(wishful thinking)

I'm not a Bulls fan, but some reason I always liked BJ Armstrong. He was awesome in my old basketball video games, really fast.

I was always a big BJ Armstrong fan too, I dont know why i hardly remember watching him play much but he was one of my favorite bulls during the Jordan era
