Hideaway Lights
But putting him in the lineup has nothing to do with Ozzie, right? Managing is more than substituting pitchers, guys.
DBAHO
2 HR's in the last 2 games.
SoxFan1
Uuum, did he not just hit a HR? b**** about Timo and Walker and benching Gooch....leave Cruddy alone.
Hideaway Lights
Um, I think you missed the point of this thread.
EvilJester99
Hell if it were up to me.... I would have pushed to trade his ass 2 days ago, so yeah benching him would have certainly been an option...
DonkeyKongerko
Are you saying this because Crede hit the homeruns? So I would have been stupid for benching Crede? It's never stupid to bench Crede, even if he happens to hit a homerun once in a while. A few more 0-fers and we will all forget about how awesome Crede has been the past two games. That is the point dude. I think he is saying if it was up to all of the Crede haters, he wouldn't have been in to hit those two HRs.
fathom
Considering we have no other options at 3rd base, Crede would have had to play no matter what.
Hideaway Lights
So where's the Ozzie accolades for sticking with Crede? It was the right move, no?

Hindsight is 20/20 is what I always say when second-guessing good pitching changes. This is no different.
fathom
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:34 AM) Ozuna? No. He can't play defensively at 3rd base. Also, until he learns to hit the ball longer than 10 feet in air, he's not a real solid option to be starting.
Hideaway Lights
Are you saying Harris, Ozuna or Uribe could not play third base any more than Timo is playing first?
DBAHO
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) Ozuna? LMAO.
Hideaway Lights
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) LMAO. I should be extremely familiar with whether Ozuna can or can't play third? Sorry, I don't know a whole hell of a lot about this guy.
DBAHO
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) I should be extremely familiar with whether Ozuna can or can't play third? Sorry, I don't know a whole hell of a lot about this guy. There's a reason Ozuna was in AAA for the what 3 to 4 past seasons. Yes he's an excellent utility sparkplug guy, but that's it. An everyday player? No way.
