While there is obvious upside to having all these guys out when we play them, I do see this as a long term downside. I would like to see what this Sox team can do consistently playing against full rosters. That way we can get a better handle on where this team really needs upgrades before the playoffs.

I think this just makes it more likely that Helton gets traded this year. Without Barmes, they're going to probably be worse than they have been.

They have a .345 win percentage it's hard to get any worse than that. However I doubt they trade Helton, it's kind of the Roger Clemens effect. You need atleast one great player on the team to get a few fans out to the games.
