Briggs

This guy is no higher than a 4th rounder , Angelo is sucking this draft up bad.

here's the bio on briggs...again another guy that looks like he has more negatives than positives...still no help for kordell and one of the NFL's worst offenses :(

Notes: High school sprinter and weight man who played running back, linebacker and safety. Began college career as a fullback and started twice as a true freshman, carrying the ball 25 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns and catching one pass for 12 yards. Moved to defense at the end of the 1999 season and won All-Pacific-10 honors as an inside linebacker in 2000 and '01. Made 113 stops, including 11 for loss, one sack, seven passes broken up, two interceptions and one fumble recovery in 2000; 93-14-6½-1-0-0 in '01, when he played part of the season with a cast on his hand; and 98-10½-3-2-1 in '02, when he led the team in tackles despite missing one game. Didn't impress at the Combine.

Positives: Productive three-year starter with good intangibles. Hustles and plays hard. Has good speed and range. Has some ability to take on blockers and is good at slipping off them. Stood out in the '02 Washington State game. Solid special-teams player. Plays hurt.

Negatives: Aside from that Washington State game, he rarely made a huge impact. Lacks game-in, game-out consistency as well as great size, is a little stiff and has no exceptional traits. Pumped up from 230 pounds to 250 before the '02 season, and extra weight may have hurt him. Currently weighs about 240. Isn't physical enough.

Summary: There are teams who like Briggs as high as the second round, but question his toughness because he seems unwilling to take on blocks. Good enough to make a team and contribute, but might never provide what teams are looking for in a starter.

i been refraining from being too negative, but this draft really sucks for the bears, with all the trade we been doing, we don;t have much to show for it.

My take:

With Bradie James, the best LB in football, from LSU, on the board, they take a f***ing stiff like Briggs! WTF! Anyways, after day 2, you will forgive the 2nd and 3rd rounds! Rien Long could be on the board with the 3rd pick in round 4, or day 2, whichever way you look at it. Brandon Lloyd, and of course, Casey Urlacher, will be a Chicago Bear!
