Playoffs

Featured Replies

I know it's early but I was wondering how the playoff matchups are done. I know we can't play Minnesota so who would we play, the remaining worse record? I'm trying to figure out who to root for so that I can see the Sox in the playoffs out in California.

Thanks

Yes, it's early, but yes, we would play the "worst" division winner if the wild card came from the Central.

sorry IT'S TOO EARLY!!!!!!!!! :bang :bang :bang

I know most Sox fans don't want to see the Sox play any of the West teams, since we struggle out West sometimes.

I hope we play Baltimore or Boston those teams dont scare me

and give who? our whole farm system?

Yes Boston doesnt scare me compare to the other playoff contenders... The Redsox pitching is weak besides Matt Clement

Give up on Chavez, I don't want him even if he was available. Schmidt on the other hand, don't jinx it.

Have you watched them at all recently? They are really, really locked in and Schilling hasn't even returned yet. They are Trouble with a capital T.

Personally, I feel bring on anyone save the Angels and the Red Sox.

I know it wasn't in green...but maybe replace the batteries on the old sarcasm detector?

I keep hearing you guys say you want Schmidt. Isin't he having the worst year of his career with a steady climbing ERA?

What the f*** are you trying to do put the Jinx on us? It is way to early to start sizing up playoff match ups. Why dont we clinch the division first and then start talking about playoff match ups.

Bear down Chicago Bears make every play clear the way to victory.

:puke play off talk now

:D playoff talk in late September when we clinch the division

Yes the Redsox have a nice little streak going but their road record sucks... Schilling might not bea nything special when he comes back from a long layoff...

Rank the Playoff Contenders who you rather face.. My list would be

1 Baltimore

2 Boston

3 Minnesota

4 NY Yankees

5 Texas

6 Angels

my list

1. yankees

2. orioles

3. twins

4. bosox

5. rangers

6. angels

why's everybody so scared about the Angels? We did pretty well against them so far this season. I think we could take the Angels.

I'd rather play the angels than say the rangers. The rangers lineup is kinda scary and if there hot, they can score alot. Red Sox and Yankees are still good teams, but id rather face there teams this year than there teams of past years. I think Baltimore will fade and i dont think they will make it. I would love to play the twins, i mean we looked pretty good against them so far this year.

If there is any chance we can play the royals, i would take them.

We didn't have Frank, either.

I'm not afraid of the Angels in the Cell, i'm afriad of them out west in their park.

christ i forgot that they had those two guys on the team. Hey the angels are pretty good even if they put pine tar in there asses or whatever kinda wierd stuff they do.
