So, I hope this doesn't sound really classless or callous--but I was wondering if people think flights to London will get cheaper. I'd love to go over and see my friends from my days in the UK--and just wondering if the flights might get more affordable. . .

I wouldn't think so, if anything I'd think they be more expensive, as Britain may put guards on planes etc., and with the rising cost of oil, and well inflation.

Ahhhhh, good point. I was trying to remember airline prices after Sept. 11, but forgot about the extra guards and stuff....

You know...I just thought of something.

The press reports on this bombing keep saying that the bombs were probably about 10 pounds each, and were made up of high explosives.

Where exactly in this world would a terrorist get their hands on high explosives? Military style demolition stuff?

Either stolen from or sold to by a country(s) having economic, security, and/or inventory problems, i.e., Russia, North Korea, African warlords, etc.

I think I was sort of hoping there was at least 1 possible answer implied in my question.

I really don't expect Afghan warlords to have access to that sort of stuff...I'd expect to only really start seeing it with a much more organized and well funded military.
