July 18, 200520 yr can we all just agree that "Helplessly Hoping" is one of the greatest songs ever written? ok, good.
July 18, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) Annnnnnnnnnd....lock thread. have you ever heard the song? If no, do it. If yes, I'm sorry that you're listening to the Millewakee Best of music...instead of enjoying a Yuengling Lager.

July 18, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Spiff @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Wow, that's a butcher job of a spelling on Milwaukee I was trying to repeat Alice cooper's "Mee-lee-wah-kay-ee" in my head... which of course means, "The good lands"
July 18, 200520 yr Author I'm turing this thread into the "Songs we can all agree on" Thread.... "Helplessly Hoping" - C,S,N, and Y "Everlong" - Foo Fighters
July 19, 200520 yr "Walking After You" is much more tender and sincere than "Everlong" but I like the vibe.
July 19, 200520 yr Black Sabbath- "The Wizard" and Blue Oyster Cult- "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" Fark any of you who say these songs stink. x150
July 19, 200520 yr Helplessly Hoping Love isn't lying - it's loose in a lady who lingers, saying she is lost. And choking... On hello. The whole song just has the greatest alliteration in it... damn. That is the one CSNY song I always insist on playing out if the guys I'm with can hold down the parts. By dafault (ie, because I can hit the high notes), I've always been stuck with Graham's line (not that I'm complaining). But lately it's just been a duo thing, so I've gotten a chance to come down and do David's part. Some day I'll get together with somebody who can handle the high registers and I can actually try give Stephen's line a go.
