July 21, 200520 yr We pity the fool who misses out on the opening pitch of Friday's Red Sox-White Sox game in Chicago. Because that's when Boston's A-Team will get a chance to meet the Windy City's own A-Teamer -- Mr. T! The bouncer-turned-wrestler-turned-vintage-TV star will throw out the first pitch to Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk at U.S. Cellular Field wearing a pair of Hanes' new "Double Tough" socks, according to the Boston Herald. Just call him "Shoeless" Laurence Tureaud! Although the Chicago native admits he's no Curt Schilling or Mark Buehrle, he promises "the ball will get to the catcher." Word is Mr. T agreed to the sock stunt because Hanes promised donate a few cases to a local homeless shelter
July 21, 200520 yr Apparently Mr. T was on ManCow this morning, (I didn't even know he still existed), and he said he's a life-long Sox fan.
July 21, 200520 yr I thought that it was changed and George Lopez and Jermaine Dupri were going to be there.
July 21, 200520 yr I thought I heard Dan McNeil say HE was throwing out the first pitch tonight? Maybe he's doing it tomorrow? Don't really know or care.
July 22, 200520 yr Speaking of T, anyone ever checked out this site - it is absolutely hilarious: Mr T vs Everything Edited July 22, 200520 yr by LostInBoston
July 22, 200520 yr Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Mr. T's appearance on Chicago Tribune Live? I need to record the part where he talks about wearing the spoon around his neck.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) I thought I heard Dan McNeil say HE was throwing out the first pitch tonight? Maybe he's doing it tomorrow? Don't really know or care. John Popper played the SSB to start it off....Jermaine Dupri (wearing a #72 jersey with dupri on the back) threw the first pitch, Mack threw the 2nd, and George Lopez threw the 3rd......what the hell is going on here, they even had movie commercials during inning breaks..... I'll take Popper and Mack.....I don't see why the hell these other so called "celebs" were there tonight, made me sick
