Lance Berkman.....

is quoted as saying "Blow up Wrigley Field" in an ESPN interview. He called it the worst ballpark in baseball.

To quote the great Lance..... "the ivy is nasty, the IF grass is waist high, and the fans are vulgar."

I wish we played at Wrigley Field. Then maybe people would actually show up to watch us play.

Sure I am going to spend $50 or more to see a bunch of millionaires go through the motions again. I might as well be a Cub fan then! If they want to play half assed, I am not going to pay to see them do it. I have no problem spending money to see a bad Sox team who plays hard. I will not pay to see a good Sox team play in a fog.

I don't blame anyone who is not going to games right now. It is called dollar vote, and it tells the team that I am not happy with the on the field product, and change it.

have you ever been to Wrigley Field?

have you ever been to Wrigley Field?

Nope.

But, I know that drawing 3 million with a bad team is not a bad thing.

If we played at Wrigley and had a division-leading team (like we SHOULD have), we'd sell out every game.

Would that be bad?

Nope.

If we had a division leading team we'd be drawing a lot more fans also. Instead we have this whole Dr Jeckle and Mr Hyde thing that turns off fans who don't have a large enough disposable income to go see a team that has the real potential to be very disappointing on lots of nights. If we were playing anywhere near our potential it would matter where we played.

Yeah I'm so jealous that we don't draw 30+ thousand real baseball fans every game like that team on the north side.

At the end of the season, all revenue money is green, regardless of the quality of fan.

Ummm... the Sox make bank every single year that we don't pop the minumim agreed to with the state (anyone know that # offhand). JR and the Sox haven't paid rent in several years. There's money there. And a LOT of it. They just don't want to spend it.

Lance Berkman is the LF for the Houston Astros..... was neck-and-neck with Paulie last season around the AllStar break for MLB RBI leader.

As for the link, I don't know how to link s*** up  . Sorry all. But it was 20 questions with Dan Patrick.

Berkman has it right .... the community urinal on the north side, is what I call it.

Could have had him in the draft if I remember correctly. We took Daellero before Berkman went.
