I'm not sure.

He just needed to give up enough to fill our greatest needs. We needed another big bat in the lineup, a bullpen arm, and possibly a starting pitcher. Buyer's market, seller's market....doesn't matter....this team is probably going to compile the best regular season and deserved to be stockpiled no matter how many prospects were given up. I would've emptied the f***ing farm for Wagner and Huff.

I don't buy the fact that we got "held up" by teams this year.

Prospects like Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, Rowand ... that's what was being asked for. The deals were not there ... for anybody ... get over it.

:stupid

Levine reported that the Sox offered everything for Burnett and the Marlins still wouldn't part. On whitesox.com it was said that selling teams were asking for Buehrle, Garland, Marte, and Rowand.

I'm willing to bet you wouldn't trade any of those 4 guys just for the sake of making a trade.

And if you were, its a damned good thing that Kenny is our GM and not this guy.

Upset, we could have had Villone for next to nothing.

Umm no. The Marlins gave up Yorman Bazardo who is a top 3 prospect in the Marlins organization. The Sox would have to top that. I doubt you would consider that next to nothing.
