August 8, 200520 yr Todd Bertuzzi is reinstated...now there is a guy that would be a perfect fit for the Hawks. He is a prototypical "Power"forward.

Keep on talking, though, you're hockey knowledge is really giving me a good laugh. Edited August 9, 200520 yr by CWSGuy406

To tell you the truth, that's one of the reasons fighting has to stay in the game. If I remember the play correctly -- as I was watching the game on NHL Centre Ice -- Moore refused to drop the gloves. It was a real choppy game, lots of shots going both ways. And, no one wanted to go at it with Bert. So, Bertuzzi gave him a cheap shot. Not saying it was right, just saying, you'll see a helluva lot more of that if you take fighting out of the game.

August 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) Re-read it. He DIDN'T say that. I understand but I would not like the Hawks to be seen as "head-hunters". I know, it was 1 mistake, but look at what he did to the guy. He almost paralyzed him. I'd like to invite any of you to get a punch to the head from Bertuzzi and then let him fall on you slamming your head into the ground. IMO, I wouldn't want the guy. As far as pure hockey skill goes, he is one of the best. He is an absolute awesome offensive force but I personally, do not tolerate cheap shots. If Torri Hunter was a free-agent and the Sox had a need in CF, no one here would sign him...

I don't see a lot of guys on the Twins coming out and saying, "I hate Torii!". In fact, I'm pretty sure he's a favorite over there. It's all relative, but at a good price, hell yeah I'd take Hunter -- CFers with as much range as his don't come around very often.

August 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) Kicking a trainer in the balls isn't a cheap shot? That's personal and besides, I thought they threw that rumor down. And also, it is not in the field of play and in no way effected the outcome of the game, did it?

So now it's, cheap shots so long as they don't affect the outcome of the game. Keep on backtracking... Still waiting for you to find where I said that cheap shots are Okay. I better stop waiting, or I'll be here a long time.
August 9, 200520 yr SF1, you have no idea what youre talking about. Basically, if you knew anything about the game of ice hockey you'd understand why fighting needs to be in the game. TO KEEP STICKWORKERS IN CHECK. But you, of course, with your wealth of hockey knowledge should know that. However, I don't think you know what a stickworker is... Basically, if you knew anything about the game of ice hockey you'd understand why fighting needs to be in the game. TO KEEP STICKWORKERS IN CHECK. But you, of course, with your wealth of hockey knowledge should know that. However, I don't think you know what a stickworker is... So what are you basing this on again? I do not know for sure what a stickworker is but common knowledge would say that it is probably a puck handler. I don;t know, I could care less. I have admitted that I honestly don't know much about hockey but I am a fan of the Hawks. I know the basics. I know some stuff outside of the basics. Just because I am a casual fan doesn't mean you have the god-given right to badger me with your "vast knowledge" oh great one. GMAFB. How about, instead of trying to be an asswhole and rip the casual fan trying to be included in the conversation, embrace him and teach him more? Get off my f***ing back... August 9, 200520 yr Look, I was out of line in saying that, I admit it. I guess I think that you think you know alot about hockey and try to show off a little and some of the stuff you say makes no sense for someone who claims to watch a lot of hockey to say.
