August 6, 200520 yr So I was listening to the Cub game while doing the dishes ( PLEASE don't be jealous, it's just the way I roll ) and they're doing the "On This Date..." segment. Pat says "on this date in 1959, Billy Williams made his major-league debut for the Cubs", which leads to a few minutes of gooey reflection about Williams. After the fond memories, Santo says "so then Billy got called up, I believe he was a September callup...." DIPs***!!!! It was ON THIS DATE, remember??????? Edited August 6, 200520 yr by The Critic
August 6, 200520 yr Gotta love Ronny, he adds so much to the Cubs radio broadcast. That's probably why they were ranked 13th in the NL by USA today when it comes to Baseball Radio broadcasts.
