August 9, 200520 yr I am not sure what his deal is, this umpire. Everytime we get a bad call he seems to be the source of the call. This is ongoing all year and was apparent again last night when Dye threw the ball to first to get Sheffield out and the ball hit A-Rod in the leg. Sheffield should have been out and we should have been awarded the double play. Where does the bad blood stem from with Hunter Wendelstedt that he ends up blowing so many calls with the White Sox? I think I read in another thread on this site that he is one of the WS umps this year or has that not been officially decided yet?
August 9, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 05:54 AM) Ozzie - "Pimple on his Daddy's Ass". That should clear it up for ya. Ozzie actually said that about him? That's funny but very thin skinned of Wendelstedt.
August 9, 200520 yr Hunter has blown some pretty big calls against the Sox the past few years. Ozzie shouldnt have said what he did, but Hunter has continued to make an issue of it, and Ozzie has every right to be pissed. Last nights blown call on Arods interference was pretty blatant. Everyone in the park knew what happened.
August 9, 200520 yr That was so bush league by A-Rod....that any of the four fricken umps could have called it. I know Hunter was in the best postion and I have no idea how he didn't call it, but any of the other guys could have stepped in and said..."hey are we really gonna let him get away that." You do not get hit by the ball, thrown by the guy, who just caught it off your bat. You are watching him the whole fricken time.
August 9, 200520 yr Did you see how he rung up Rowand to end the game? I don't know if that is how he always does it but it seemed a little over the top to me.

August 9, 200520 yr Someone should "accidently" throw a ball into the back of Hunter's head and pretend they were trying to throw out a runner or just getting the ball back into the infield....
