May 6, 200322 yr With the recent struggles of the Sox, I've tried to keep positive by thinking of Borchard, who I think is going to be a star for the Sox. Here's the latest on JB: .256 avg, 2 HR, 15 RBI, 4 doubles, .385 Slugging, .289 OBP Let the Borchard watch begin and let's hope he gets hitting better very soon.
May 6, 200322 yr When I saw him on Friday nite he went 0 for 4 and looked totally lost at the plate. He needs a hitting coach bad to work with him and to shorten his stroke. I know that's not original but it was painfully obvious to me watching him. Our seats were great.
May 6, 200322 yr I hope we be patient with Joe. I would hate to rush him. To me he looks like he wasn't ready yet as of this spring...
May 6, 200322 yr Joe's numbers have slid a bit lately, but hopefully he can get things going. I still think he's a few more months away, probably here near July.

I think you're on the money, July would be a good time for his arrival and hopefully he's ready by then. Of course I wouldn't mind seeing him the minute he is ready
May 6, 200322 yr He is a great athlete and hopefully he can get his swing straightened out and be ready in the coming months. Would be nice to have a CF with power come to town.
