Open Letter to Pods

Tell Ozzie your groin is killing your abilities to steal a base and the team's better off with someone else leading off then you....

If Pod's only running with one leg, he's absolutely worthless to the team....What was the point of pinch hitting him last night since he couldn't steal a base anyway?

Agreed. Pods without base-stealing ability is worthless. That's the only reason we brought him here.

If that's the case, I'd rather see--GASP!--Willie Harris lead off. I'm not kidding.

Because he's a left handed hitter and he can still hit better than most of the lefties on our team.

That error that put him on base last night happened entirely because he still has decent speed even if he's hurt...the guy at SS was trying to make the throw before he picked up the ball, and he booted it.

It isn't Pods's fault that we went like 0-5 or 0-6 in the last 3 innings with RISP.

Ok so Harris plays, you sit Iguchi then. Who hits in the 2 hole? Do you want Pablo "can I hit nothing but a bloop single out of the infield" Ozuna, leading off instead then?

Sit Iguchi, sit Dye, sit Pods, play Willie, Timo and Borchard. Then we can call ourselves the 2004 Sox again.

What's the point of getting on base if you can't steal AND you're the leadoff man?!? It's like having Konerko leading off with a single and you're stuck with him at first since he can't steal a base....

Not what I meant....When the Sox were winning, he was a pest and gave the team an early boost cuz he'd steal 2nd then 3rd....Now, he can't do that and you can't play station-to-station baseball with your leadoff man in the 1st inning....
