Good DH Article

I agree with Hawk on one big aspect of the DH, it makes the pitchers more likely to throw at someone because they don't have to stand in and bat. It is a sort of immunity, and it leads to a teams best player getting hit instead.

I love the DH, nothing is more BORING to me than the 7,8,9 hitters in an NL game combined average of maybe .245. It is no wonder pitchers strikeout numbers are so much higher in NL, they face a much easier lineup. I also get tired of the tradition arguement from oldtimers, it is not that much harder to manage in the NL or more strategic IMHO. :usa

I HATE the dh. I like the style of national league ball more. I believe if pitchers were to hit they would have a better idea of how to pitch hitters and I also love the strategy of the game.

Only thing I like about the DH is it gives some guys a shot that wouldn't of gotten the shot before. Also lets some vets stick around longer.

I'm fine with the DH in one league and pitcher in another. I think it distincts the leagues and creates two different styles, which I like.

Just don't waste Mike Hampton's power in the AL.

I'm a big fan of the DH.

I like the AL style of ball much more than NL style.

personally i am with chisoxfan. I think it is purer and funner to watch then some big fat out of shape guy swinging for the fences everytime
