I am a HUGE DH fan, and wish it were in the NL to avoid the confusion in the World Series especially (pitchers bat in NL park, DH in AL park). southsider2k5 Posted May 12, 2003 Share Posted May 12, 2003 I agree with Hawk on one big aspect of the DH, it makes the pitchers more likely to throw at someone because they don't have to stand in and bat. Soxfest Posted May 12, 2003 Share Posted May 12, 2003 I love the DH, nothing is more BORING to me than the 7,8,9 hitters in an NL game combined average of maybe .245. It is no wonder pitchers strikeout numbers are so much higher in NL, they face a much easier lineup. I believe if pitchers were to hit they would have a better idea of how to pitch hitters and I also love the strategy of the game. Only thing I like about the DH is it gives some guys a shot that wouldn't of gotten the shot before. Also lets some vets stick around longer.
