October 3, 200520 yr http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AiF6...ov=ap&type=lgns One of my favorite past White Sox players died Sunday of a heart attack. I'm really saddened by this, Pat was one of the really good guys.
October 3, 200520 yr I was 6 years old when he played for the Sox so no personal recollection of him as a player. But 61 is too young, and it is always sad to lose a member of the extended White Sox family. PS, I love this exchange from the link you posted, Ed: "Skip, don't you want me to walk with the Lord?'' Kelly asked. To which Weaver replied, ``I'd rather you walk with the bases loaded.''
October 4, 200520 yr I played in Mayor Daley's 1973 All-City Series team, and Pat was one of the speakers at the awards banquet. He signed my team picture and was very nice to all of us little snot-nosed brats. I'm really sad to hear of his passing. R.I.P. Pat.
October 4, 200520 yr pat kelly helped the sox win plenty of games. decent hitter. Some pop. could steal a base. Always smiling.Always played hard. nice left-handed hitter. most famous picture i remember of him is when he was one of the guys wearing short pants. RIP PK
October 4, 200520 yr Yea Pat Kelly. He played with Melton and Carlos May and Dick Allen and Jim Kaat probably Bucky Dent ,Terry Forster and Goose Goosage . Had some real talented players on that 73" team. Don't know if my memory is right of who was on the that team . I liked those red pinstriped uni's . RIP Pat and God bless your family.
