I doubt that was really said. Even if it was the players don't make that decision and it would be way to quick for that to be decided. Not that I think Marte should be on the roster because I wonder if he can be effective. But, that only leaves us with one lefty in the pen. However, on the other hand some of our right relievers can neutralize lefties quite well. I would like to see BMac on the roster. I wonder if Marte has lost confidence, is tired or hurt?

There is no wondering about Marte at this point. He quite clearly is not capable of being an effective reliever right now. There is no way he should be on the ALCS roster. He can't get lefties out, you can't trust him in a tight game, and he can't really eat innings if a game is a blowout.

I can't argue with you at all. Marte has done some real clutch pitching, but clearly he just ain't got it right now whatever the reason. I am leaning towards him being hurt also. Put BMac on the roster.
