October 26, 200520 yr Freddy Garcia was traded by the Houston Astros with a player to be named later and Carlos Guillen to the Seattle Mariners for Randy Johnson. The Houston Astros sent John Halama (October 1, 1998) to the Seattle Mariners to complete the trade. Thanks Houston!

October 26, 200520 yr Author Anyone else enjoying the Astros karma? Get Randy Johnson, proceed to hand over the guy that will "take you out" in your first World Series appearance ever. That Randy Johnson is a giant albratross around the necks of whoever has him on their team.

October 26, 200520 yr QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Why does Everett have 6 fingers on his right hand? and 4 on his left? Much like the Panda...Carl Everett's lineage involved a strong selective pressure towards having another thumb. An example X-ray is seen here: In order for the body to conserve the extra energy needed for this additional thumb, his thumb on his left hand gradually began to decay due to lack of use. This fully explains Carl Everett's prowess at the plate, and most likely has something to do with why Kenny Williams keeps trading for him.
