Dick Allen

Featured Replies

Did anybody at the parade yesterday have a guy going around passing out flyers about Dick Allen? He was saying Dick Allen saved the Sox franchise and so on. I just wanna know if anybody knows what that is all about?

I got one of those and the pic had Dickie in a Phillies hat

HAHA!!!

Fantastic!!!

What an idiot.

The guy yelling "Dick Allen emancipated the White Sox! We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him..." and then he kept comparing him to Christopher Columbus. Even the black people around me rolled their eyes, just enjoy the parade rather than trying to grab attention

Dick Allen hit the farthest homer I've ever seen.

But I love the current Sox way more than Dick Allen.

THough he was great.

After he came around for about a third time I asked if he was Dick Allen.

Actually, Allen did save the Sox. The franchise was going right down the s***ter until he brought his big bat to the south side.

Now it makes sense, he did tell me that if horses didn't eat it, he wouldn't parade on it.

Seriously though? Though I wasn't even alive when he played, I know what he looked like and try to keep up on Sox history. I don't remember what this guy looked like, the moment I got at the parade is when the everything really sank in for me, so if it was him then I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I know he was a good player, but this was the day of the 2005 White Sox

that WAS dick allen passing out flyers

Are you serious?
