Ned Coletti named Dodgers GM

Featured Replies

I like Ned from his time at the Cubs. I hope he knows whatkind of mess he is getting into with Parking Lot Frank and his wife.

Ned Colletti, the dutiful and reliable assistant to San Francisco general manager Brian Sabean for the past nine seasons, finally was rewarded for his patience on Tuesday when he was named general manager of the Dodgers.

Colletti will be formally introduced at a Dodger Stadium news conference this morning.

I wonder if he's a Paul Konerko fan. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Jeff Kent as well.

i remember when ned used to write a column in the daily southtown. good luck to him.

I was really hoping Kim Ng would get that job. Well...guess every organization can't be as progressive as the World Champs in their front office hiring policies. Oh well.

Can't blame the Dodgers that much for this...when you're constantly behind another team in your division...it's usually a good move to try to dismantle the organization of that other team.
