January 11, 200620 yr Its pretty funny. I'm so happy to see the Cubs getting s***. I hate them and their whole crappy organization.
January 11, 200620 yr "This year, more than ever, it's apparent that they are not the Sox. Over the years, the Sox took significant chances, failed, took significant chances, failed, took significant chances, won the World Series." Isn't it funny how winning a World Series will turn "blunders", "bad scouting" and "stabs in the dark" into "significant chances"? Ken Williams can truly thumb his nose at everyone.
January 11, 200620 yr Good article. When I was on the treadmill yesterday I glanced up and noticed footage from this press conference and was very confused. I couldn't believe the Cubs were having a press conference to announce Jaque Jones, it all seemed really silly to me since he's basically going to be a carbon copy of Jeromy Burnitz. The thing that topped it off was a quote from Jones basically saying he's not going to hit 40 homeruns and explaining his limitations... The whole thing was classic Cubs.
January 11, 200620 yr That article really does say it all. I didn't even know they had a press conference until I read it though.
January 11, 200620 yr Author QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 12:21 PM) I love the last line and it is so true.. Yet Cubs fans fail to realize it. I started to quote that line in my original post. But, I thought it was best just where it was.
