Bears interested in Ramsey

Featured Replies

Im still on the Aaron Brooks bandwagon..... He would give Grossman actual competition and if Grossman got injured we would actually have an NFL quality starter to replace him with.

I think a 4th or 5th will get a deal done for Ramsey.  He's a solid QB and I wouldn't have a problem in that.  I think he's better than any of hte QB's you would draft in that round.

However, if Daunte is released I would make a full pressed effort to sign him or at least consider doing so.  The guy had 38 td's in one season and would instantly become the best QB to ever play for the Bears.

He (meaning Daunte) totally blew out his knee. He may never be the same player again. At this point he would be a huge risk.

Garcia is a free agent, yes?

Yes, supposedly looking to sign with Philly.

There is a nice veteran crop of backup quarterbacks starting to emerge.

If the Bears really are looking to add some sort of veteran, they will have the opportunity.

I'll be making a thread with the NFC North teams and their respective draft needs, but, if the Bears address this spot via free agency, it appears TE, CB/SS, OLB, and OG will be the draft-day needs.

Also posted in the rumors thread, but, hey... Ramsey to the Jets, for only a 6th round pick. Awright.

We should have a poll afterthe next post about a player the Bears are interested it, guessing which of the other NFL teams will sign him.
