I think at least a few of you visited or were members of BHZ. I was going to ask if any of you know what happened? Did Frank just close the site?

i was going to email you, the site went bye bye. there were some posters who became mods who ruin the board. the inmates ran the show and look what happen.

 

i am sooooo happy for the way this site is being run, b/c you see what could happen.

 

wirtzsuck is trying to reinvent the board.

can you get a hold of hawkfan50, fullmetalninja, disgruntlehawksfan and behn wilson. those guys were great posters, i might never agreed with all they wrote, but they were hawks fan and great poster.

there was a guy from europe who gave frank a great write up every week. his name is something like pekka lampinen who created the eliteprospect report.

 

i think he is with some super hockey mag who write up eurpean report.

 

if not ask frank what happen to him.

To be honest i started to visit BHZ only a few times a month in the past year because it went to crap.

 

Along with the rest of the mods, i hope to have the site run smoothly.

i was sooo sad to see bhz become what they became. in the beginning i help out a lot in behind the scene, with suggestion, ideas and all. then it started to go to crap and stop posting for the last 3 yrs there.

 

i hope we take all the problems there and learn from it.

 

mods who weild too much power can destroy a site, too much fighting as well.

 

we all have opinions and lets be forgiving of those who may not know alot of a certain topic.

the story is that when the site was transferred from frank to whoever it went to, the guy's company hosted it. things needed to be a little less profane, and certain posters made it a point to go against some of the new policies.

 

quite honestly, that site sucked for the last couple years. there was a group of about 4 or 5 posters that went out of their way to be assholes to pretty much everybody that was new to the site. arguments seldomly stayed on topic, as most of them turned into personal attacks from one poster to another.

This is good to know as I was a member at BHZ as well and I had wondered what had happened. I look forward to joining up with the new board.

in particular, hockey has so many nuances and twists that people don't understand...

 

so i fully agree with that statement...

 

for the most part people embrace things pretty well here, and may it continue to be that way across all the talkchicagosports network.
