RAMALLAH, West Bank - A senior Hamas official said Friday the group is ready to accept a "two-state" solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but the Hamas prime minister said he is unaware of plans by the Islamic militants to change their hard-line government platform.

Wow. If this doesn't splinter the extreme elements of Hamas into another party, this would be huge.

This will happen. It just takes time.

It was bound to happen since it will be nearly impossible to govern if they don't make some concessions. Of course the government can say what it wants, the terrorists have to be brought in line too.

It happens, and then the party radicals splinter out to a new party and it starts all over as a major segment refuses to recognize Israel. This has been going on for over 60 years now.
