April 20, 200619 yr And in the mean time, Mythbusters confirmed that the best way to cool a 6 pack is to use ice and salt water. The freezing temperature is lowered by the salt, thus making the water a lot colder. Otherwise, you can use a fire extinguisher, which can cool beer in 3 minutes.
