Thx, I'll have to look for that, is it on newstands already?

Some of the most disturbing images I have ever seen are of still born children from women who were pregnant during the disaster.

I don't know if it is out there still or not. I know I saw the May issue already at the magazine stands, so it might be gone by now. Try a grocery store or somewhere that takes a while to switch their mags.

It's a disaster waiting to happen again. If the concrete fill that surrounds the reactor breaks open, the explosion and radiation release will be worse than before.

From what I understand, it's rapidly deteriorating. That's not a good situation.

One of the things the NatGeo article talks about is the new "dome" they are going to build over it. Bascially they are going to build what looks like a domed baseball stadium on tracks, and when they finish it, they will roll it into place over the exsisting cover, and lock it into place. They then will go inside this structure and dismantle the old structure so that it doesn't collapse. Interesting stuff actually.

Wow. That's some trick of engineering if they can pull that off. I'll have to go see if I can scam up that NatGeo article. It sounds cool.

Its the April issue FWIW, its has an earthquake article on the cover.

Also it is estimated at 700 million dollars to do, today...

My God. That might be some of the most heartbreaking stuff I have ever seen. The boy with the brain outside of his skull just tore me apart. I remember it happening, but do you remember the huge cover-up. I guess in Russia it went quite awhile without anybody knowing about it due to the cover-up.

There is a website out there where a girl rides her motorcycle into the city. I have heard some say it is all BS, but it is fascinating if it is real.

Found it:

Now there is a new one but I can't find the Chernobyl pages.
