You all are looking for a problem here when there isn't one.  Imagine that.

 

He was charged for "doctor shopping".  If one obtains a presecription from another doctor for the same medication in 30 days, whether it's 1 pill, 40 pills, or 2,000 pills, the law states you can't do it.  Period.  That was the charge he pled 'not guilty' to.

 

Can we stop this now?

I don't think anyone was looking for a problem, at least I wasn't. The guy is human. I just think people that rush to the extreme to spin this look silly and dishonest.

Ach, I should have instead deflected the point by pointing out that I had exactly 0 posts in this thread until I responded to your Kennedy quip today. And in my response I tried to emphasize that I have little sympathy for Patrick Kennedy and in fact am worried he's out driving on the streets when he can't remember getting up in the morning.

 

Anyway, it seems like these painkillers are good stuff with all these folks addicted to them. I'd better get a hold of some and see what I'm missing. Sorry, more humor.
