Sox TV Ratings Up 25%

Featured Replies

More $$$ for the Sox!

It's the virtuous cycle right now for the Sox.

Success on the field brings more fans in seats and higher television ratings....

More $$ for the Sox means more money to keep good players / sign free agents / sign good draft picks....

Keeping good players / signing free agents / signing good draft picks means success on the field.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Not always but it doesn't hurt.

I credit it to hawk's new hat.

Whatever happened to the "Hawk" hat that he wore back in the mid-90's? I wanted to get my hands on one, but was never able to find them.

From the movie "Over the Top"???

That's terrific news. The Sox seem to be doing a great job of marketing this team and it's nice to see the front office reaping the rewards for their hard work. Of course, it doesn't hurt when your team wins a world series and gets off to a great start, but still.

That's true, but Brooks Boyer was turning the tide before the WSC happened. He's really done a bang up job.

Maybe more people would rather watch them than listen to them now, what with Singleton and Farmer?

Great news. And I love their marketing blitz all over Chicago.

It all depends on where you live. I love watching the Sox, but can only do that when they are on WGN or ESPN (The Yankees and Red Sox channel). I bought XM Satelitte to listen as I am out of town 4 days out of 7 (that's a week right?). I would love to buy the MLB extra innings package on cable, but that doesn't do any good for me when I am on the road so much. I know I should make the wife record all the games.

When you're the defending World Champions, that helps also.
