May 30, 200619 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 29, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) Draft & Follow deadline from last year is quickly approaching... Any word on some of our D&F's from last season? Working on an update on those guys. I finally have some time (till I go out of town Thursday for 2 days) to get a lot of draft stuff done and we will be trying to get as many draft related pieces up as possible before the draft (and than as many follow up pieces as possible).
May 30, 200619 yr Regarding 17th rounder Enrique Garcia, pitching against the local South Suburban College in the JuCo World Series... “He was popping it in there at 91-92-93 (mph) in the ninth. “After they scored two runs in the fourth, he put it in second gear.” Garcia was a 17th-round draft choice by the Chicago White Sox last summer and has signed a letter-of-intent with the University of Miami. Sounds like he'll need top few rounds money to sign him. Edited May 30, 200619 yr by Gene Honda Civic
May 30, 200619 yr Bobby La Framboise was named co-Southern California JUCO pitcher of the year. You gotta figure he'll be signed.
May 30, 200619 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 29, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) Wasn't there one that opted to go to Texas? Jordan Danks? If you are talking about him, he is not eligible because he went to college and not a Junior College.
May 30, 200619 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 29, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) Bobby La Framboise was named co-Southern California JUCO pitcher of the year. You gotta figure he'll be signed. He was 11-0 with a 91/24 K/BB ratio and a 2.06 ERA in 81 innings pitched. He was the only pitcher in his league qualified for the ERA title that had more K's than innings pitched. Most of them hovered around 6/9 or less. He must have some good stuff.
