June 4, 200619 yr QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) Thanks for the info Jim! I had been wondering about the subway system there. It looked like you can get just about anywhere on it. Wow. I didn't expect to hear that about Fenway. Do they have the troughs too....uh...nevermind..wrong person to ask that. I personally think Fenway is about as big of a s***hole as humanly possible. Horrid ass stadium in my book.
June 5, 200619 yr The freedom trail is sponsored by the US park service and well worth it. It's a walking tour. I guess I'm in the minority but Fenway was awesome in my book. But I like old ball parks. The condition of a bathroom doesn't really factor in to my assessment of a stadium. I loved old comiskey and you'd be hard pressed to find worse restrooms. Fans were incredibly passionate and knowledgable. Their obsession with the yankees borders on clinically psychotic, however. Take public transportation because parking is over $20 anywhere near the park. Edited June 5, 200619 yr by The Ginger Kid
June 5, 200619 yr Strange, I had no problems with the people at all, seemed pretty cool to me. I just wasn't blown away by the town....and it IS a town. Fenway is in much better shape than Wrigley, the tour of the park is awesome, there are no beer vendors in the aisles and the food sux. The T looks like it's running on all it's orignal parts, I guess they're trtying to keep it historic looking. I'd say you can see it all in less than two days, even with a tour of Fenway and a game thrown in.
