...makes me think that maybe we're just not as good as them.

Well at least not yet. There still is room for the team to go on a tear.

What the Sox need is for me to go see them in person again. They pwn when I am in their presence. I'm going Saturday.

Here here to that, Big! I'm going tonight and thus far my record is 11-6! I wasn't at the Boston series, which is, of course, why they lost.

:bang

But now that they're going to feel my Sox fan mojo tonight, I'm seeing a sweep!

This is a good effort for trying to spin it into a positive but this is ludicrous.

Great line. That loss was not a good loss. This mental stuff I don't think matters much. Our pitchers

aren't living off last year; they are just not doing as well. I am not a big believer in this mental stuff.

You go out and play every day. I don't think the Sox think they are better than anybody else.

alright after going to the game today I gotta say what a dumbass I was for starting this thread

our pitching staff needs to get pissed and start throwing the ball, mark adn the rest are pitching like good triple AAA pitchers

step it up

the whole season it's been about how were still better than the Tigers, how were the defending world champs ect...

well this past stretch, and especially today should be a big slap in the face to the team that they aren't Mr. Incredible

I hate to think it, but I get the feeling from our team (pitchers mostly) that the don't care as much as last year, and they just think they can cruise along right back to the world series

Ken Harrelson kept saying how the series was good for the psyche of the Tigers, well now their riding on the top of the world after winning the series, and the Sox are trailing behind

now that we've gotten a taste of losing, we should start to realize that we need to step it up to keep competing in the AL

so I think this loss will actually help our team get back together and hit a stride for the rest of the year

no

It almost seems like the team is waiting for the inevitable trade to shake things up.
