Breakfast Club was filmed at New Trier West (which at the time was not being used as a high school). Its used now, I believe, as freshman only. But the West campus was, at one, time, a seperate high school from East, which is now the main campus for New Trier.

I just saw an old episode of the Amazing Race where they go to the Water Tower, then Gino's East and finally to Ping Tom Memorial Park.

 

Nice to see most of cabbies have no idea where the latter was as well
