October 3, 200619 yr Anyone know anything about him? Is it a loss or someone we really don't know much about. He's supposed to be the next pitching coach for that team.
October 11, 200619 yr Champ is excellent. He will be a big loss to the Sox system. He is a class guy and very well respected in the game. Tito just missed by a year reuniting the 1994 Barons coaching staff. Don't know much about Wallach as far as being a coach. Just know the one time I dealt with him, he was cordial and easy to deal with. Edited October 11, 200619 yr by Rex Hudler
October 11, 200619 yr I've met Champ before and he's an excellent pitching coach. He's not as hands on as he once was as a roving instructor, but he's very familiar with every guy that throws in our system (as well as the cathers). The pitching coach Gene is referring to is Perdew who is supposedly top notch (based on conversations I've had with a few of his current/former pitchers).
October 12, 200619 yr I remember when he was pitching coach for the South Bend White Sox in the late 80s.
