October 6, 200619 yr I friend of mine and his wife just gave birth to a baby. Everyone is doing fine. What I found interesting is that the soon to be Godmother and another close family friend were in attendance. Is this a new thing? There is no way the mother of my children would have wanted anyone there.

I was in the room for my nephew, but that was mainly because I was the back-up coach if my brother-in-law couldn't make it there in time. But everyone in our family was there. As well, most of the family was there for Mia's birth (at the hospital, not in the room). I will have my sister with me when I give birth as well as Jim of course.
