November 21, 200619 yr QUOTE(chisoxdavid @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) Just want to see how many ppl here play or played football on thanks giving. Me and some friends always try to make it out to play. Every year I have Thanksgiving with my family around 2 and than after that I do it all over again with all my friends later on in the evening (my friends mom has a zillion leftovers so we just all come over and mooch) but prior to eating the 2nd meal we have a yearly pigskin game.
November 21, 200619 yr QUOTE(Soxy @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) No, but we had an annual snipe hunt. snipe hunting = vastly underrated
November 21, 200619 yr QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) snipe hunting = vastly underrated Whitewashing fences>snipe hunting FWIW, I haven't played in a Turkey Bowl for years...
November 21, 200619 yr I usually do, but my foot is pretty messed up; don't know if I'll be participating this year.
November 21, 200619 yr QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) I just get drunk. Right. Who in the hell wants to go out and play football when there is liquor to drink?
November 21, 200619 yr I have played on and off the the last 10 years. We are playing this year, so hopefully everyone will come out in one piece. Plus the weather is supposed to be pretty nice so it should be a good time.
November 21, 200619 yr More and more, as the years passed, I found myself just hoping to not get injured. I took my "skills" to the offensive line the last few years. Finally, I just said, "No more." And to make it final, I moved to Arizona, the only state in the US where football is not allowed.
