December 8, 200619 yr I remember the Foulke went through arbitration with the sox some years back. Has anyone else gone through arbitration with the sox since then? I can't think of anyone... but I could be wrong.
December 8, 200619 yr Foulke's best days are way gone. I'd rather let some other team give him a big deal, and have him spend half of the season on the DL. We have two possible back-up closers if Jenks goes down....that's pretty good. The only issue is that we have NO ONE ELSE in the bullpen that can be trusted. Sounds a lot like last year.
December 8, 200619 yr Best sign I saw at the Cell during the famous Cubs-Sox game where Carlos Lee hit the grand slam to win the game in extra innings (Flash Gordon was with Cubs then and I think David Wells started that game for us) FOULKE THE CUBS
December 9, 200619 yr He blew a ton of big games when he was here, most notably I remember a game against the Yankees at home where Giambi hit a bomb off of him and also a playoff game against Seattle in 2000. I don't think he had the best relationship with management either, so given that and the fact that he often wet himself in clutch situations, I'm gonna have to pass.
December 9, 200619 yr Sox aren't the team to reacquire players they didn't like originally. Therefore, you won't see a Kenny Lofton, Keith Foulke, or DeAngelo Jimenez ever coming back.
December 9, 200619 yr Neh! I was impressed with what he did in 2003 and 2004 while he was with the A's and Red Sox, but with his current injury problems and his relationship with Sox management, i dont want him back. However, we do need one more veteran arm down there in the pen... whose out there?!?

December 10, 200619 yr Unless Kenny Williams can find a free agent willing to sign at his terms, which is unexpected in this market, I expect the White Sox to have that last spot filled either by trade or inhouse candidates.
