December 19, 200619 yr Didn't Bonderman have really good 1st half splits in 2005 and then he really fell off (or maybe I'm just not remembering that right)? So in that sense he'd shown flashes, but really he put the total package together in 2006. And considering the current market price of pitching, the Tigers have done quite well here. Schmidt is getting about $11M more over a 3 year period than Bonderman, and Bonderman could outperform him over that period of time possibly.
