June 21, 200322 yr The Cubs bullpen is going to be dead for the last game of this series and the following series. Wellemeyer threw 90+ pitches and probably wont be available for at least 3 days since it was pretty much a start for him. The Sox also faced 4 other relievers yesterday and are already into the bullpen in the 4th in todays game. Lets hope that they continue to work the counts, put some runs up, and hurt the Cubs in the future by wearing out their pen for their next series. What a great start to this weekend? Where has this Sox offense been for the majority of the season?

If he doesn't have pin point control he gets hit hard and thats the way that it will probably be the rest of his career. I hate the fact that he said he wanted to play for the Cardinals. A player shouldn't say that under any circumstances and because of that I am no longer a fan of his. At this point I wouldn't mind trading him because I think his future is as a middle of the rotation starter for the rest of his career. Maybe the Sox can get a couple of very good prospects from a team looking for pitching and who still believe that he is an ace?
June 21, 200322 yr I still believe Mark's an ace. He's young and learning to adjust as the league adjusts to him. When Maddux isn't pinpoint on he gets hit too. I don't want to lose him and I'm sure not ready to give up on him.
